I would give minus stars If it were possible, as this place is bad, they will lie to you.. I went to this dental office a few years ago, when I have not yelped yet, but I must write about my experience, since my oral health would not be the same today, if I listen to the doctor who saw me there. I had inflamed gum and the doctor wanted to convince me to go under some kind of gum surgery, they said its necessary, otherwise I'll have big problems. One star is generous for this place....., The wait time for a cleaning is insane over an hour! I don't even know why they give you an appointment because they NEVER see you at the time allocated to you, the appointment is at 4 you're seen at 5:30 horrible. The communication is even worse they call your over 10x to confirm, If your are looking for quality work this is not the place, they are more for quantity of patients and poor management poor work and care. Do NOT go here. I went in for a check up and the doctor took an over abundance of xrays and claimed that I needed a ton of dental work done including shaving down my guys? They submitted all of the work to my insurance whom contacted me and said to NOT get any done work by this office. I didn't need any of the work done that they claimed that I "needed" done and warned me that after looking at my xrays they would not cover any of this unnecessary work. Be VERY CAREFUL when you walk into this nightmare of a dentist office. They are a scam and all they care about is $$ Not you, your teeth or your health! They will lie to you without even taking X-rays and tell you you need a lot of procedures you don't!! STAY AWAY!!!!

Beware! Suspect of poor ethical practices. I usually never leave reviews however feel this is important so others do not get taken for more than they should pay. I had an appointment today for an emergency root canal due to pain. I found Steinway Family Dental through my insurance company who confirmed they participated in my plan and I would be fully covered for the root canal. I literally have never left a yelp review. First off service was good. However it was very odd because I have had braces and the first thing they explained was how my smile was unhealthy and I needed invisiline. Then I mentioned I had braces...obv ploy to get me to give them Money. Secondly I haven't been in about 6 months. They have called my phone multiple times a week from different numbers. I am honestly just feeling hurt and disappointed about being taken advantage of here... This is my story. My partner and I were looking for a new dental place and thought "family" dental sounded super quaint... we stumbled upon them at the Steinway street fair and they seemed super warm and inviting. I'm only putting a star because you can't put zero stars. Came all the way from Long Island for them to say the work cannot be done. Was in contact with them for weeks about this appt. Smh. Place looks like a sweat shop!!! Don't waste your time going there then having to look for parking is another story.
