The dentist and hygienist there do a more than adequate job but the folks managing the office and the day to day business employees are some of the least organized people with which I've ever had to deal. I'm giving this review one star because the facility was clean. Other than that, this was the worst dental experience I have ever had, on all counts. Also, never trust a place that requires payment before the actual service.

Getting an appointment here was very quick and there were many appointments available even though I just booked the day before hand. Not a lot of booked appointments, probably because of the terrible reviews that they have.. I got set up with Dr. Day, who was really nice and attentive, and when I came in for another cleaning, the hygienist was very detailed and gave me great advice about cleaning my teeth. This was the first positive dentist experience I have had in my 12 years of living in NYC. They ran on time, were quick without feeling rushed, knowledgeable, didn't try to sell me a ton of shit I don't need and staff are so kind! Everyone had genuine smiles on their faces and were ready to make you feel relaxed and cared for. They are completely honest about what they are doing, why they are doing so. I had Dr. Tina and she is THE BEST! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! I highly recommend!

I came here because it was conveniently located to my gym and I was in need of a cleaning. There was a kind man promoting in front of the business as I walked by and he convinced me to give them a try. I booked my appointment for the next day. Well I arrived shortly before my 11am appointment and was greeted by a pleasant receptionist. Upon completing the new patient paperwork which was quick I asked for the procedure time estimate. Thought I would write an update to my last review in April 2013 since the staff is insistent that I'm not accurately portraying my experience. After my last post, another filling that Steinway Family Dental did fell out last summer. I had to go to another dentist as an emergency patient. I was told that there was decay left where the filling was done. I had to pay to have the cavity filled. Unless you have money to burn, don't bother coming here! I was referred to Steinway Family Dental by a friend who goes to them for cleanings, etc. My rear molar has been cracked in half, was giving me a lot of pain, and from the looks of it was rotten. I have no insurance, so they told me the consultation would be $60 and I came in to have it looked at and see what my options were. In short, I'll never come back nor recommend this place to anyone. Don't go here. Save your time and money. Also, their DemandForce.com reviews lack a certain level of detail you'd expect from actual dental patients. Thanks, Carrie. My story: I had some tooth pain I was looking to get addressed. The staff is very pushy and money hungry. After the first time I declined a procedure, they sent another man to speak to me and try to convince me. After i repeatedly declined again and again, they still made me an appointment (for the procedure I declined). I never went back. Also, the hygienist who cleaned my teeth was unprofessional, probably straight out of school. She was scared to touch my teeth. I personally brush my teeth harder than that.
