Awful experience here. Had a root canal performed that I ended up having to go see an endodontist to fix the shoddy work they did here.
Do not go to this dentist. After paying $150 out of pocket for a routine baby tooth pull I was told my insurance didn't fully cover. I was surprised to come back for another visit to be told I didn't pay the services in full and still owed an additional 45 dollars. This is the second time this happens to me with them. All I can say is good luck collecting.
Well I came here and i had a pain in the back of my mouth on the left side all the way in the back and i wanted to know what was wrong with me, so i got here had a few x-rays done and they tell me my wisdom tooth is coming out, so they said they will remove it, and then they told me they will remove the other three wisdom teeth but those other three teeth were fine, so at the time i was (okay) - i didn't really know wisdom teeth pain until i got injected 8 times for pain, and they ended up removing all of them, they didn't s... read more
After the 10th time of being accosted by the pesky flyer people in front of this place i went in. Lobby was modern, clean and fairly empty, which was the first sign i might of made a mistake walking in. Next the paper work, careful read what you are signing, i would rather agree to paying for all work performed after you tell me what needs to be done. I was very excited when I was referred to a new Dentist. I thought that a change from my old would be good. I was so wrong this place is clean and has modern equipment but that's about it. I have worked in the dental field for 20 years and I sure know when I'm being raked. Even with two insurances that I have I figured to have the work done that I needed may cost out of pocket about $1,000.00, also his assistants were all over you and don't speak very well English and are not very knowledgeable. I hadn't been to the dentist in about a year, since I moved to New York. I was looking for a routine cleaning and ZocDoc recommended Steinway Family Dental. My first appointment was supposed to be a routine cleaning. They took me into what I thought was the room where the cleaning was taking place, but instead it was an X-Ray room. I was told that it was customary for X-Rays to be taken of all new patients, so I complied. The dentist and hygienist there do a more than adequate job but the folks managing the office and the day to day business employees are some of the least organized people with which I've ever had to deal. On at least 4 occasions I had to come to the office only later to find out there was no need to have an appointment, they didn't get the necessary clearance from my insurance company (although it would have been very easy to do if they understood proper policy/procedure), or the dentist I was suppose to see was not even in... read more

I'm giving this review one star because the facility was clean. Other than that, this was the worst dental experience I have ever had, on all counts. Also, never trust a place that requires payment before the actual service.
Getting an appointment here was very quick and there were many appointments available even though I just booked the day before hand. Not a lot of booked appointments, probably because of the terrible reviews that they have.. I got set up with Dr. Day, who was really nice and attentive, and when I came in for another cleaning, the hygienist was very detailed and gave me great advice about cleaning my teeth.
