Interviewed with this dental office today... the manager asked me if I've ever heard of L. Ron Hubbard (founder of Scientology), and then proceeded to tell me that the office follows the 'Hubbard Management System'. She then tells me that it's not Scientology itself, just his principles regarding management. After that I was given a "test", which was a personality assessment with about 100 questions. Update: this dental group (on multiple occasions) tried to charge exorbitant amounts of money for unnecessary dental care. This was confirmed by three other dentists and now the state is investigating them. (True story). This was not my experience because I've never had a single cavity but thought it was important information to share from a trusted source. Long story short: If you JUST need a cleaning, they are fine. Otherwise, RUN.

I've been going here since I've been a child. I went for a follow up today, I waited over one hour to be seen. I purchased a night guard from them a month ago, the Dr. stated would last me up to 5 years. They broke within the month. They were $800, when I told the dental hygienist about them breaking, she was surprised and stated they broke too soon. Brace yourselves, this is a long one! Go to another dentist and SAVE THOUSANDS!!!!! I recently was given a quote for $7,000 worth of work i "needed" to get done. I believe it was two crowns and shaving my gums (wtf is that even?) all for the price of 7K. They were setting me up with a dental credit card to pay it off in installments. I was about to do it all to get the procedure over with but a friend said I was crazy to not get a second opinion. So I did, the next dentist said I need ZERO work done. What a scam! This place wanted to overcharge me for everything (I needed to either do root canal and crown or implant) and their doctor gave me some astronomical prices. He wanted 7 to 8 thousand for an implant. Like what? And he also wanted to charge me 4 thousand for a root canal and new crown. Check it out..to schedule my first appointment for root canal, he said I needed to put a downpayment...will never come back

I have going to Steinway Family Dental Center for years. I have had full implants done and cost was outrageous, $100,000. Dr. Victor did the implants. He was quick and knowledgeable. Dr. Malekov (no longer owns the practice ) was ok. However the lab used was horrible. Two incidents. Color did not match on lower implants. Now I realized all they did was coated with the desired color. After several cleanings added color has been scraped off. warning: do not go here. they give you a price that you obviously cannot pay for. they con you into financing and trick you into conforming to their services without refund (even without services being done at all). once insurance gets involved and are unable to abide, they're quick to "change their minds" and say that they are now able to refund it. way to lie and manipulate the healthcare system and well-being of clients. thanks for nothing.

Extremely overpriced. Obtained quotes from various other dental practices and the ALL (including the Manhattan ones) quotes at least $600 less than what this office charges for crowns.
