I love Dr Chan and Hygienist Megan! Miss them so much! However, after 10 years plus had enough of the poor service and organization with the billing and appointment aspect. Didn't realize until after I left how many other friends had the same experience. Receiving bills many weeks or even months later. Confirming multiple times at time of paying that would be 100% paid. Their accounting is so shady! Please don't go here if you want to lose your money! I lost my job due Covid back in March 2020, one of the first things I did was going here and ask them "Do I owe you guys anything?" No, that was their answer. I should've asked it on paper, now I know! 18 months later I received a letter, 1 letter during all these 18 months that I owed over $1,800.00!!! I went to Dr. Chan for many years, but when I got seriously injured at work and had to go through Worker's Comp. Crown would not accept it. I had a concussion as well as a tooth injury and was forced to suddenly find a new dentist. Crown was not willing to do the extra paperwork for me. I decided to change to an dentist's office that I could count on in an emergency.

*Edited 7/16/17 read below* The staff in general is very nice. Dr Chan is also very nice and very personable. Which is the only reason why I'm giving them three stars and not less. I have no doubt that they probably do good work but I feel somewhat taken. To some degree it is my fault for not knowing my benefits and researching doctors in network completely. But I place a good deal of blame on them for not letting me know that only my cleaning was covered due to being out of network and anything else like fillings would need... read more

The good ole "bait-and-switch"! Watch out for Crown Dentistry! I responded to a local ad for 50% off dental implants and implant procedures about a year ago and was strung along the entire time. Went into the office for a consultation after I spoke to a representative over the phone and confirmed my insurance was accepted. I went in to get a cracked molar removed. The nurses seemed friendly, until one asked me why I talk so much, right before shoving gauze in my mouth. The room I was in faced a huge window, which made me feel like I was on display. Dr. Chan came into the room when my gums were sufficiently numbed by local anesthetic. He was polite, and began injecting my gums to further numb them. I joined Yelp just to review this dentist office. I went in for an appointment last Friday for a routine exam, x-rays and basic cleaning. Before I was seen the lady at the front desk showed me a breakdown of costs. I receive a basic cleaning every six months from my dental insurance at no cost to me. I was a patient of Crown Dentistry a couple of years ago. Having moved to Natomas I needed some dental work done under an emergency situation. I had no problem getting in, having my issue assessed and having a consultation with the dentist. I agreed to having a root canal done along with a crown.
